Why ours

Three things universal shades can’t do

Fit

Made for your make

Universal shades fold and crease to roughly fit any window. Ours are cut to the exact curvature of your car's glass, with magnetic anchors at the precise points the steel body welcomes them. They snap in, sit flat, and stay put on the highway.

Climate

Built for the Australian sun

A foil shade from a $20 pack starts warping the first time your cabin hits 60°C. We use a steel frame and UPF-rated fabric engineered for AU temperatures — the same kit you'd want on a 40°C day at Bondi as on a school run in Hobart.

Pricing

Direct from us, no dealer markup

Dealer-supplied accessories are custom-fit too — and marked up two to four times what they cost to make. We sell direct, support you on WhatsApp, and price for fairness, not for the dealership's bottom line.

Considering one of the others?

The honest take, by category

vs Universal foldable shades

They’re cheap, they’re cheerful, and they have a place — a hire car for a week, a back-up in the boot. The trade-off is real, though: the fit is approximate, the foil warps in Australian heat, and they fold up small only by sacrificing the shape that makes a proper shade work. If you own the car and you’ll keep them more than a season, the maths flips.

vs Suction-cup roll-down shades

A step up from universal — window-specific shapes, slightly better materials — but the mount is the weak link. Suction cups release in the heat (just when you need them most), and static-cling versions cake up dust until they don’t stick at all. Our magnetic anchors don’t care how hot it is or how clean your glass is.

vs OEM dealer accessories

The closest match to what we make — same custom-fit idea, often a similar steel-frame build. The catch is the price: by the time it’s on your car you’ve paid for the part, the dealership’s margin, the install labour, and the cost of their showroom. We make the same quality and ship it to your door at roughly half. If something’s wrong, you message us directly — not a service desk.
