Round 304 stainless, not flat steel

Most shades are framed with flat steel wire. It corrodes, and its edge works through the mesh at the fold. Ours is round-profile 304 stainless — it doesn’t rust, and it doesn’t cut the fabric it sits in.

Process

How your set is made

Every set starts on an actual car. This is the whole process, start to finish.

A car window traced point by point in the CarShade measuring app, reading W 888 x H 399 mm

01

Measure

We trace the glass on the real car, corner by corner. The reading in millimetres is what gets cut — not a size chart.

02

Cut

That outline goes to the cutter, which cuts a template from sheet stock at the traced dimensions.

03

File

Each template is checked against the car, labelled and filed by generation — because the same badge can carry a different window.

04

Post

Your set is cut from that filed template and posted from Liverpool, NSW.

FAQ

Common questions

Sizing, install and shipping.

Do these shades fit every trim level?

Fitment is specific to a make, model and generation, not to a trim. Match the year range on the listing to your build year and any trim of that generation will fit. If your car sits on the boundary of two year ranges, send us the build date and we will confirm.

Can I fit them myself?

Yes. The frames are magnetic — they snap onto the door frame in seconds with no clips, suction cups or drilling, and come off just as quickly.

How do these compare to universal or suction-cup shades?

A custom-fit set is cut to your glass, so it sits flush with no gaps at the edges. Universal foil shades are cut to a generic shape and warp; suction-cup shades let go in the heat. See the comparison above.

What is in a set?

You choose: the front pair, the rear pair, the boot, or the complete set. Each option is listed on the product page with its own price.

How long does delivery take?

In-stock sets are posted from Liverpool, NSW the next business day. Made-to-order sets take 1–3 weeks. Free shipping on orders over $100, and free returns within 30 days.
