Model Partner Program Terms

1. The program

The Model Partner program lets vehicle owners, car clubs, and trade partners help Auto Sunshades ("we", "us") develop custom-fit window shade models. Partners contribute vehicle information, window scans or templates, photos, and prototype fit testing. We review every application before development begins.

We remain the seller of every product at all times: we set prices, own and control the final manufacturing patterns, manufacture and ship orders, and handle all customer service, fit issues, returns and refunds under Australian Consumer Law. Partners are credited publicly (with permission) and rewarded as described below — they are not the seller and are not responsible to buyers.

2. Your submissions

"Submissions" means everything you provide in the program: scans, templates, tracings, measurements, photographs, videos, written feedback, corrected outlines and fit-testing results. You confirm your submissions are your own (or you have permission to provide them) and that vehicle details are accurate to the best of your knowledge.

You grant us the right to use, modify, combine and commercialise your submissions to develop, manufacture and sell products. The final processed manufacturing pattern and all its revisions are owned by us. Your rewards are contractual payments, not ownership of the pattern, the product, or any part of our business. You must not provide final production files to any competitor.

We may modify, pause, reject or withdraw any model — including for safety, accuracy, or compatibility reasons.

3. Rewards

Founding Model Partner: after your model passes physical fit validation and launches, you receive the completed shade set free (including shipping), public creator credit (using your chosen display name), a 5% royalty on the net product revenue of every completed sale of that model for 24 months or 200 completed sales (whichever comes first), and a referral code earning 10% of net product revenue on directly referred sales of any product.

Supporting Fit Testers and Capture Partners receive the rewards agreed for their role (free or discounted sets, testing payments, affiliate commission). Only assigned royalty recipients (at most two per model) earn the model royalty.

"Net product revenue" means the product price after discounts, excluding GST, shipping, refunds and chargebacks. Rewards are never earned on your own purchases.

4. Earnings and payouts

Earnings become available 30 days after the order and are paid monthly by bank transfer or PayPal once your available balance reaches $50. Refunded or cancelled orders reverse the related earnings. We record the applicable rates against each order when it is placed; changing program rates never changes past earnings.

You are responsible for your own tax affairs. Earnings may need to be declared to the ATO even if you are not running a business; where payments are treated as supplier payments, we may be required to withhold at the top marginal rate if no ABN is quoted. We collect your legal name, payment details, and ABN/GST status for this purpose.

5. Promoting your code

If you promote your referral code or your models, you must clearly disclose that you received free product and may earn a commission — for example: "I received this prototype free from Autosunshades to help test the fit. I may earn a commission if you purchase using my code." Misleading claims, spam, bidding on our brand name in paid ads, and manipulated referrals are prohibited.

Do not imply endorsement by any vehicle manufacturer. Vehicle make and model names are used only to describe compatibility.

6. Privacy

We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy. Production files (vehicle data, window outlines, sanitised photos) are shared with our overseas manufacturing team; your name, contact details, payment details and earnings are not routinely sent overseas. Blur or hide number plates, faces, addresses and documents in photos you submit. We will not publish your legal name or identifiable photos without your permission.

7. Ending or losing rewards

You can leave the program at any time; earned amounts up to that point remain payable under these terms. We may withhold or cancel rewards only for: deliberately false vehicle information, fraudulent evidence, stolen submissions, manipulated referrals, serious breaches of these terms, or refusal to return an unused prototype where we ask for it. We accept ordinary development and fit risk — an honest scanning error never makes you liable for customer refunds.

We may pause a model's listing (and pause new royalty accrual) while fit complaints are investigated; already-earned amounts are not removed.
