Mazda CX-30 Sun Shades (2020–2026)
The Mazda CX-30's coupe-like roofline is a big part of why people buy it — and exactly why universal sun shades don't fit it. The rear glass is shallow, raked and tapers hard toward the back, so one-size shades sag, gap and fall out. Ours are patterned to the CX-30's actual window outlines and grip the door frames magnetically, keeping the sun off that premium interior Mazda is known for.
Why Mazda CX-30 owners choose custom shades
Protects an interior worth protecting
The CX-30's soft-touch dash and upholstery are a cut above the class — and UV through the side glass is what ages them. Shades stop most of it before it reaches the trim.
Cooler back seat under the raked roof
The sloping roofline brings the rear glass closer to passengers' heads, so sun through it lands hot. Fitted mesh takes the bite out for kids and adults alike.
Privacy without dark tint
Mesh panels make it hard to see into the cabin in car parks — useful if you'd rather not run the darkest legal tint on a light-coloured interior.
Keeps dogs comfortable
The CX-30's boot and shaded back seat make a far kinder spot for a dog on summer drives when the side glass isn't pouring heat in.
Features
Cut for tapered glass
Each panel follows the CX-30's narrowing rear-door and quarter-glass outlines — shapes that defeat rectangular universal shades.
Magnetic edge, no marks
Magnets grip the painted steel frame around the glass; nothing adheres to the window itself, so no rings or residue.
Fine knit mesh
Blocks the bulk of direct sunlight and glare while keeping the view out — the cabin stays bright, just not hot.
Tool-free fit
On in seconds, off in seconds, stores flat — no frames to assemble or suckers to lick.
Fitment for your Mazda CX-30
These shades fit all CX-30 grades sold in Australia from 2020 onwards — every grade shares the same glass. The set covers rear doors and quarter windows, with front panels for use while parked. If you're cross-shopping the smaller CX-3 or the larger CX-5, we cut for both of those as well.
Covers: Front driver and passenger windows, Rear passenger (second-row) windows, Rear quarter windows.
Installation
- Identify each panel's window by shape — the tapered rears are distinct.
- Let the magnetic border meet the steel frame and pull itself flat.
- Run your fingers around the edge to seat the corners.
- Peel from a corner to remove; stack flat in the boot floor.
Mazda CX-30 sun shade FAQs
- Why don't universal shades fit the CX-30?
- The rear glass is shallow and sharply tapered by the coupe roofline. Rectangular shades either sag in the middle or leave the back corner uncovered. Cut panels match the outline exactly.
- Do they fit every CX-30 grade?
- Yes — Pure through to Astina share the same window glass, so one set fits all grades and engines.
- Will magnets damage the paint on the frame?
- No — the magnetic edge is fabric-covered, so there's no bare magnet on paint. Fitted and removed normally, it doesn't mark the frame.
- Can I leave them on through winter?
- You can — many owners do for privacy. They lift off in seconds and store flat if you'd rather have bare glass in the darker months.
