Toyota Yaris Cross Sun Shades (2023–2025)

Small SUV, small windows — but the Toyota Yaris Cross heats up faster than almost anything bigger, because there's so little cabin air to absorb the sun coming through the glass. Parents fitting a baby capsule in the back know the rear seat gets uncomfortably bright. Our shades are cut to the Yaris Cross's exact window shapes and snap on magnetically, which matters on a car where the rear glass is too curved and compact for one-size shades to ever fit properly.

Why Toyota Yaris Cross owners choose custom shades

Baby-seat friendly back seat

The rear doors sit close to a capsule or child seat, so direct sun lands straight on it. A fitted shade keeps that side of the cabin out of the sun without a sagging cloth shade jammed in the window.

Faster cool-down for a small cabin

A small interior heats quickly but also cools quickly — if the sun isn't reloading it through the glass. Shades let the hybrid's air-con get on top of the heat in the first block, not the first suburb.

Glare control in city traffic

Low afternoon sun between buildings is the Yaris Cross's natural habitat. Mesh panels take the sting out of side glare for both rows.

Tidier than clip-on alternatives

Universal shades overhang the Yaris Cross's compact door frames and flap at speed. Custom-cut panels sit inside the frame and look factory.

Features

Patterned to compact, curved glass

The Yaris Cross's rear door glass is small and sharply raked — each panel is cut to that outline rather than trimmed down from a rectangle.

Magnetic grip on the door frame

Magnets hold the panel to the steel frame, so nothing is stuck to the glass and the window can still be lowered a crack with the shade in place.

Breathable knit mesh

Blocks the bulk of direct sun and UV while keeping the cabin airy and the view out intact.

Seconds on, seconds off

No assembly or suction cups — lift the panels off and slide them under a seat when you want bare glass.

Fitment for your Toyota Yaris Cross

These shades are cut for the current Yaris Cross sold in Australia (2023 onwards). The set covers the rear doors and rear quarter glass, with front panels available for use while parked. Driving a regular Yaris hatch instead? We cut shades for those year ranges too — see the related products below or search the catalogue.

Covers: Front driver and passenger windows, Rear passenger (second-row) windows, Rear quarter windows.

Installation

  1. Hold the panel against its window to line up the shape.
  2. Let the magnetic edge find the steel frame around the glass.
  3. Press around the border until it sits flush.
  4. Peel from one corner to remove and store flat under a seat.

Toyota Yaris Cross sun shade FAQs

Will these fit the hybrid?
Yes — hybrid and petrol Yaris Cross share the same glass, so the same set fits both.
Can the rear windows still open?
Yes — the shade mounts to the door frame, not the glass, so you can crack the rear windows for airflow with the shades in place.
Is this better than a universal baby shade?
A cut-to-shape panel covers the whole window with no gaps and doesn't sag or fall off, which is exactly where stretchy universal socks and suction shades struggle on the Yaris Cross's small curved glass.
What about the boot window?
The standard set covers the side glass. If you need the tailgate glass shaded for a sleeping setup, contact us and we'll advise what we can cut.
